Special Society Member Tour and Mixer: Birds of the Dill Sanctuary

On September 24th, Society Members are invited to join Museum staff for an exclusive after-hours event and tour. Meet and mingle with staff and fellow Society Members over refreshments and then enjoy an exclusive look at these collection pieces not currently on exhibit for public viewing. Natural History Curator Matt Gibson will discuss some of the native birds found at The Charleston Museum’s Dill Sanctuary along with showcasing historically collected study skins and eggs. 

Patrons will get a rare opportunity to get a close up look at historically collected specimens from the mid-1800s – early 1900s as well as learn about early ecological collection techniques; Please note, this event will take place at The Charleston Museum.
