"Songs of Life" featuring Israel's Violins of Hope and Columbia's Varna International

3302 Robert M. Grissom Pkwy
Myrtle Beach 29577
Local Grand Strand musicians playing Israel’s Violins of Hope will bring restored violins to life again. Once played by Jewish violinists who perished or survived the Holocaust death camps, they join with hundreds of other South Carolinians in statewide orchestras, chorales, and soloists to perform in the internationally recognized Varna International “Songs of Life.” The melodies of the violins will poignantly express the hope and heroism of Bulgaria’s astounding rescue of its 49,000 Jewish citizens from the Nazis in World War II. The Long Bay Symphony, The Carolina Master Chorale, Coastal Carolina University Concert Choir, and All Horry County Children and Youth Choir- joined by Philip Kutev's dazzling National Folklore Ensemble of Bulgaria, will combine for an unforgettable evening of music and inspiration. Holocaust Remembrance stories will kindle hearts with unity across diverse South Carolina audiences experiencing the "Never Again" message in music.
