Join us for our Diamond Jubilee Open House for the Community!
Come help SCETV celebrate 60 years of SCETV storytelling! We are opening our doors to the community so you can come experience our wonderful resources.
Visitors can:

  • Tour our television and radio studios for behind-the-scenes glimpses into the broadcasting world
  • Meet and interact with popular SCETV/PBS characters, including Smart Cat, Daniel Tiger, Clifford, Princess Presto, Super Why and more
  • Participate in a Kids’ Diamond Jubilee scavenger hunt allowing for further exploration of our studios…and an opportunity to win prizes!
  • Visit with and get autographs for local talent: Making It Grow host Amanda McNulty, Expeditions host Patrick McMillan, SC’s Naturalist Rudy Mancke, SCETVs Director of Cultural Programming Beryl Dakers, and SCPRs Walter Edgar’s Journal host Walter Edgar
  • Enjoy an inviting and interactive storytelling station with Aunt Pearlie Sue
  • Practice yoga and meditation with our newest host Stacey Milner-Collins
  • Learn more about SCETV’s history and impact on the state of South Carolina
  • Explore opportunities for ETV Endowment membership and further support for local programming and storytelling
  • Share their story in our SCETV storytelling booth…we want to hear how SCETV has impacted our communities and their family’s lives

We’ll also have a variety of SCETV giveaways, coloring sheets and interactive treats for the kids. Local food trucks will be available in our parking lot.

This event is free and open to the public; we hope to see you there!
