Doug Norwine Faculty Recital

Wednesday, February 27, 2019 7:30 pm

Daniel Recital Hall
316 Boulevard
Anderson, SC 29621

If you’ve ever heard the opening saxophone riff from the
animated show The Simpsons, then you’ve heard the work of The South
Carolina School of the Arts faculty member, Doug Norwine. This concert
consists of popular love songs from the great American songbook. Paying
tribute to some of the most talented ballad saxophone players of all time,
Doug Norwine will be performing works from players such as Ben Webster, Paul
Gonsalves and Dexter Gordon. Come on out, prepare for the lights to dim and
enjoy the sweet music of some of the greatest musicians of our time. This
concert will be held in Daniel Recital Hall on Anderson University’s campus
and is open to the public. This is a free, non-ticketed event and starts at
7:30pm. Call the Rainey Center Box Office at (864) 231-2080 for more
information.
