Catawba Nation Powwow
The Catawba Nation invites South Carolina to its annual Powwow, taking place March 13–15, 2026 at Winthrop Coliseum in Rock Hill. This three-day cultural celebration brings together intertribal dancers, drum groups, Native artisans, and families from across the Southeast. The Powwow is a vibrant expression of Indigenous heritage and living tradition, offering attendees the opportunity to experience Grand Entry processions, competitive dance categories, traditional music, and authentic Native crafts.
Open to the public, the event provides an educational and welcoming environment for individuals, families, and schools to learn about the Catawba people and the ongoing cultural contributions of Native communities in South Carolina. Thousands of visitors attend each year, making it one of the region’s most significant Indigenous cultural gatherings.
