At our annual living history Christmas you’ll find enduring traditions, charming decorations, and a season that still warms the heart. With the traditional Hanging of the Greens near Advent the Backcountry will be decorated for the season. You'll see what it looked and felt like at Christmastide circa 1800 in our Carolina Backcountry Homestead. Blacksmithing Spinning and weaving Candle Making Colonial Crafts Cookies and Cider Chestnuts roasting on an open fire and special surprises! .... and best of all we are happy to offer this event for FREE! GUIDELINES: All upcoming programs are contingent on public accessibility during this time. Events have been modified to protect visitors and staff from COVID-19.
