A Tornado Watch is in effect for a large portion of South Carolina until 6:oo pm. Expect periods of heavy rainfall for much of the state. This may cause localized flooding across the area, especially in low lying and poor drainage areas. Consult your local weather reports or go to www.weather.gov for the latest information.
Teacher Appreciation Week – ETV Celebrates our SC Teachers!
May 8, 2017 - Posted in Education by B. Jamison
From May 8-12, 2017, we celebrate and say “Thank You” to our SC teachers! Teachers change the lives of millions of children every day. Their dedicated work and impact extends far beyond the boundaries of the classroom.
This year’s theme for Teacher Appreciation Week is “Teachers Deliver.” And they do! Teachers deliver so much to our students—inspiration, motivation and, ultimately, their futures.
Please join ETV in celebrating our South Carolina teachers…
And, especially if you are a teacher, be sure to check out the services that ETV provides JUST for you!
Carolina Classrooms: Celebrating Teachers on Wednesday, May 31 at 7:00-8:00 p.m. on ETV,
Features the finalists for the new South Carolina Teacher of the Year, sharing their passion for
teaching and talking about the changes and challenges in education. We’ll even get a glimpse
behind the scenes to see what makes these educators successful as we visit their classrooms!

ETV’s StreamlineSCservice is changing after this school year, but SC educators still have access to all the content in Knowitall.org. Some “locally produced” content in StreamlineSC is already available in Knowitall and more is being added every day! Plus, national content is also available free in PBS LearningMedia.
ETV has many services SC educators can utilize! ETV Education is currently beta testing our newest service – LearningWhy, offering complete preK-12 lessons for one-to-one environments. The full version should be ready fall 2017. And, we continue to provide quality PD through our online Teacher Courses and our face-to-face trainings for schools and districts.
