ETV Education Adds New Professional to Support Pre K-12 Educators & Students
ETV Education is excited to announce the addition of a new professional to support SC’s Pre K-12 educators and students. We welcome Sharla Brown to our education team!
ETV’s brand new educational content service LearningWhy now has its own manager, Dr. Sharla Brown. ETV’s LearningWhy is a unique Pre K-12 lesson plan educational content web site designed for South Carolina educators. Sharla will oversee and develop collaborations, partnerships, and relationships with SC institutions that provide educational Pre K-12 content, all of which can be marketed and delivered through LearningWhy. She will be coordinating with South Carolina teachers and administrators to create and vet educational lessons for one-to-one (1:1) environments. LearningWhy lessons, typically personalized for students to excel using tablets, laptops and even phones, can be Project-Based Learning (PBL), 1:1 or traditional, and entail all the components a teacher needs to facilitate a classroom lesson aligned to SC Curriculum Standards. To learn more about LearningWhy visit, and register for the site…
Dr. Brown recently served as an adjunct professor with the University of South Carolina’s School of Education where she trained future teachers and supervised social studies student teachers. She holds a BA in African American Studies, MAT in Secondary Social Studies and a PhD in Social Foundations of Education – all from USC. Sharla taught social studies at Dent Middle School in Richland Two, and worked with the Darlington County School District, providing extensive consulting and research.
