Bullying and Suicide Prevention
This program will focus on bullying and suicide prevention as we look at how social issues affect student health and the learning process. In addition, we’ll talk about what resources are available to help. Guests include Alex Karydi, Ph.D., Program Director, SC Youth Suicide Prevention Initiative, and Jan Urbanski, Ed.D., Director of Safe and Humane Schools, Institute on Family and Neighborhood Life at Clemson University. Also, ETV cameras visit Beaufort High School to talk with LaRaine Fess, Director of their play, and several students involved about their anti-bully play “See Something, Say Something.” Aired September 28, 2016
The topics discussed are not new, but there is hope and there are resources available designed to help students, parents and teachers.
