Carolina Classrooms Equity in Education Now Online, Adult Education Repeats Nov. 25
Carolina Classrooms is ETV’s monthly educational series for teachers, parents and all citizens invested in the education of our children. Each program focuses on key educational topics and initiatives in our state. From addressing ways to make higher education more affordable to preparing students for 21st century careers; from looking at statewide assessments to celebrating our best South Carolina educators, Carolina Classrooms provides a forum for education stakeholders to learn and be involved.

In this forum that aired on October 28th, educators, legislators and community leaders discuss the challenges school districts face in educating children of poverty as they seek solutions and feature initiatives finding success. Part of the American Graduate Initiative, the town hall meeting was taped at Francis Marion University and featured State Superintendent of Education Molly Spearman, Sen. Gerald Malloy who represents District 29 and sits on the Senate Education Committee, Marlboro Schools Superintendent Dr. Helena Tillar, Darlington Schools Superintendent Dr. Eddie Ingram, and Dr. Roy Jones, director of “Call Me Mister” at Clemson University, plus other education experts. This program originally aired in September 2015. Program repeats again November 26 at 8:30 p.m. on SC Channel (SCC) and November 30 at 10:30 a.m. on ETV World (ETVW).
