Chief Meteorologist at the University of Florida and Director of FPREN, Florida Public Radio Emergency Network and SCEIN, South Carolina Emergency Information Network for SCETV and SCETV Radio.
As Chief Meteorologist and FPREN director, Tim Miller is brings years of severe weather coverage experience to the FPREN team. He serves as the primary on-air talent and leads the production and delivery of weather and public safety content through the Florida Public Radio Emergency Network. Tim also oversees the UF Weather Center at the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications. The UF Weather Center serves the university's media properties including WUFT-FM, WUFT-TV, 103.7 The Gator and WRUF-AM and TV. Tim has served as a Chief Meteorologist for WJBF-TV and as a Meteorologist for WIS-TV as part of a long and rich broadast career in news and weather. Tim has won 5 Emmys for his outstanding weather and news coverage.
In 2018, FPREN partnered with South Carolina Public Radio and South Carolina ETV (SCETV) to launch the South Carolina Emergency Information Network (SCEIN). SCEIN focuses on building local public media brands by delivering timely safety information and emergency messaging to public radio and TV stations across the state.
