TiffanyJ presents a soulful approach to melodic art, triumphing over past battles with depression while embracing her individuality. Her journey spans from her early days at First Nazareth Baptist Church to her entrepreneurial venture with TJ's Elements LLC, showcasing her diverse talents.
In 2012, TiffanyJ emerged as a solo artist, championing her self-esteem movement, "Beauty, You Are Boot Camp," which empowers young queens and shares her own journey of conquering self-esteem challenges. She’s not just a musician but also an accomplished 5X published author. Her first book, It All Starts with Me: An Interactive Guide To Discovering Self and Loving It, was released in August 2017 with the foreword written by her mentor, Grammy Award-nominated R&B artist, the late Angie Stone.
In 2018, TiffanyJ created the fictional characters Super Beauty and Handsome Hero. The Super Beauty brand consists of children’s books, puzzles, a traveling mascot, and the notable plush pep-talking dolls that say over 20 phrases to boost self-esteem. She has graced screens on BET’s Grand Hustle and Good Morning America. Her impactful presence is celebrated in publications like Black Enterprise, Essence, and Hype Hair.
In 2022, she earned the esteemed title of "Best Artist" at the Columbia Neighborhood Awards. Her passion for giving back shines through her nonprofit involvement, including roles on committees and boards like Girls Rock Columbia, Jam Room Music Foundation, and Historic Columbia’s Jubilee Festival Steering Committee. The City of Columbia honored her with a proclamation, declaring November 20, 2022, as "TiffanyJ Day" in recognition of her 10-year solo artist anniversary. In 2025, the South Carolina House of Representatives presented TiffanyJ with a formal resolution recognizing her 12 years of leading Beauty, You Are Boot Camp and her lasting community service efforts.
She is also the founder of the annual Buddies, Not Bullies Rally, which has since evolved into the Buddies, Not Bullies Parade on Main Street in Columbia, SC—championing kindness, inclusion, and confidence during Bullying Prevention Month. TiffanyJ has served as a spokesperson for South Carolina ETV’s Safe Space, a mental health awareness initiative, further reflecting her commitment to wellness advocacy.
Her latest album, "Solbird Sessions Live," soared to #8 on the iTunes R&B/Soul charts and was recognized as one of Post & Courier’s “Best of SC Music” for 2023. Beyond her musical achievements, TiffanyJ is a Professor at Benedict College and serves as a creative director and video editor for projects including the City of Columbia’s documentary Did You Know: Columbia’s Black Wall Street produced by 7Sunday. In 2024, her documentary concert film Solbird Sessions Live was licensed by Amazon Prime and is now available for streaming worldwide.
TiffanyJ is now officially part of the South Carolina ETV family where she is the creator, host, and producer of Solbird Sessions, a music and mental health series blending live performances and wellness experiences. Her commitment to continual growth keeps people eagerly anticipating her next creative voyage.
