Salandra Bowman

Interim Vice President of Education

Salandra Bowman is the Interim Vice President of Education at SCETV. In this role, she is responsible for the oversight of training and research activities, instructional design, and education production. Salandra has led the implementation of multiple new initiatives including 21st Century Learners Week, Ready to Learn, and the SCETV Kids Club. She has produced multiple projects specific to her passions around youth engagement and equity and access in education. Prior to joining the team at SCETV, Bowman served as Director of Academic and Program Compliance at the South Carolina Technical College System, where she was responsible for student monitoring and developing professional development trainings around academic policy and federal civil rights regulations.

She received her bachelor’s degree in English from the University of South Carolina and her master’s degree in African American and African Studies from The Ohio State University.
