Rochelle Dean
Rochelle Dean is an award‑winning journalist with nearly 30 years of experience in television news. She currently serves as a Reporter and Host with South Carolina ETV and Public Radio, sharing stories that inform, educate, and connect communities across the state.
A graduate of Virginia State University, Rochelle holds a degree in English with a minor in Mass Communications. She began her career at WRIC‑TV in Richmond, Virginia, where she spent 14 years covering major national and regional stories, including the D.C. Sniper case, the Virginia Tech shootings, and the Michael Vick dogfighting trial. Her work earned an Associated Press Award for Best Spot News.
Originally from Connecticut, Rochelle has lived in Columbia, South Carolina, for more than 16 years and has deep family roots in Winnsboro. Guided by her personal motto, “To whom much is given, much is required,” she is committed to community service and telling meaningful stories from across the Palmetto State.
