South Carolina is more than just beaches and BBQ. Here, we have stories—the kind of stories you hear about in places like New Orleans. Lucky for you, Nicole Caudle, host of Unknown, is nerdy enough to do the research and bring these stories back from the lost annals of history.

Nicole is a hobby historian turned author and storyteller, which mostly means she reads through old documents for fun, losing whole weekends to county archives, church records, and microfilm. The rest of the time, she runs the Bruchion, where she publishes children’s books and writes novels—mostly fictionalized versions of these same South Carolina stories.
