Matthew Lavery

Dr. Lavery serves as the Deputy Director for the South Carolina Education Oversight Committee.  Prior to coming the EOC in 2021, he taught at the secondary level for eight years before earning a Doctorate in Educational Research Methodology, Measurement, and Analysis from the University of Central Florida.  Dr. Lavery has worked as an educational researcher, teacher educator, and has taught research methods to graduate students for three research universities in as many states.
