Ladrea S. Williams-Briggs, DrPH, MS
Dr. Ladrea Williams-Briggs served as a panelist on Palmetto Perspectives: Saving Moms Part 2.
Dr. Ladrea Williams-Briggs is a dedicated public health professional and maternal health advocate with a strong focus on improving outcomes for underserved communities. She holds a Doctor of Public Health in Health Education and a Master of Science in Health Promotion. Her work spans both front-line and leadership roles in public health, community engagement, and reproductive justice.
As the Executive Director and Founder of #NotUsSC, Dr. Williams-Briggs works to advance maternal health equity by ensuring communities have the knowledge, support, and power to advocate for safe and respectful care. Grounded in a socio-ecological approach, Dr. Williams-Briggs centers the cultural and systemic factors that shape health outcomes, particularly for Black women. Her advocacy is informed by both professional experience and her personal journey as a near-miss survivor of HELLP syndrome.
Outside of her work, Ladrea enjoys spending time with her family and cheering on her alma mater, the Clemson Tigers.
