Jada Washington is a News Producer at South Carolina Public Radio. Her path to public radio grew out of a genuine love of storytelling, beginning with her work as an Arts & Culture Staff Writer at The Barnard Bulletin, where she chronicled the Morningside Heights and Harlem communities of New York City, and continuing through her editorial tenure at The Daily Beast, where she reported on national beauty, health, and wellness stories while developing a new content vertical for the digital news organization from the ground up. A Barnard College graduate and proud Columbia, South Carolina native, she is passionate about bringing thoughtful, well-reported, human-centered journalism to the community that shaped her, continuing the vital work of SC Public Radio.
