Dr. Stephanie Frazier

Dr. Stephanie Frazier is the Vice President for Education and leads the coordination of division activities including educational broadband services, online professional development, instructional technology initiatives, and educator training. Prior to joining ETV, Stephanie served as the Associate Vice President for Curriculum and Instruction at the SC Technical College System. There she was responsible for curriculum management, teaching and learning activities, institutional research, and grants management. 

Her early career involved work in the private sector as an instructional designer, and a position with the University of South Carolina TRIO Programs as an academic counselor and technology manager. Stephanie also worked previously with ETV as one of the original trainers for the StreamlineSC video-on-demand service.

Dr. Frazier received her undergraduate degree in Business, Master’s degree in Educational Technology, and her Ph.D. in Educational Administration, all from the University of South Carolina. A proud first-generation college graduate, she is dedicated to the provision of meaningful educational experiences for South Carolina students. She is most passionate about issues related to digital learning, gender equity, and leadership development.  

Stephanie has received numerous awards including Administrator of the Year and recognition as a Top Mover and Shaker by The State newspaper. She has published many articles and case studies in a variety of publications. She is civically engaged and a graduate of Leadership Columbia.

CTE encompasses many different types of education, from classroom learning to certification programs to work-based learning opportunities outside the classroom. SCETV is excited to collaborate with multiple partners to develop resources highlighting the importance of CTE in South Carolina.

Are you aware that you may be able to receive a free wi-fi hotspot from SCETV? We are currently revamping the program that provides free wi-fi devices to eligible community partners. Partners include, but are not limited to, early learning centers and afterschool programs. Through the program, partners have access to training, as well as premium ETV and PBS Content.

Join us on January 17 for a FREE and innovative training session on Media Literacy. NewsLit Camp is a day-long professional development experience based on an “edcamp” style of continuing education. It empowers you to teach news literacy through topical sessions and educator-driven planning time.

Xavier Riddle & the Secret Museum
A new PBS Kids Series, "Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum," debuts on November 11. The series is based on the children’s book series Ordinary People Change the World by New York Times bestselling author Brad Meltzer and illustrator Christopher Eliopoulos. Join us at EdVenture Museum on November 7 to meet Chris Eliopoulos, who is visiting Columbia as part of the series promo tour.
