Dr. Franklin J. Gause
Dr. Franklin J. Gause is a dynamic leader in education, currently serving as a faculty member in the Teacher Education Department at Coastal Carolina University, where he also serves as the Site Coordinator and Program Director of the Call Me MiSTER Program. This initiative is a teacher recruitment and retention program working to solve South Carolina's teacher shortage by training and preparing highly qualified educators to teach in hard-to-staff underserved communities.
Beyond his work at the university, Dr. Gause is the Principal Consultant for Pace Education Services. Through his company, he provides expert professional development, helping educators sharpen their teaching methods, significantly improve student achievement, and boost student engagement.
Dr. Gause's academic journey includes a Bachelor of Arts in African American Studies, a Master of Arts in Teaching-Secondary Education, and a Ph.D. in Educational Foundations, all from the University of South Carolina. He's also a credentialed Montessori educator, which gives him a distinct and valuable approach to teaching.
With nearly 20 years of experience in education and consulting, Dr. Gause is a highly experienced and respected professional in his field. His research interests encompass pedagogical methods, the educational experiences of Black children, the preservation of Black History and culture, and Hip Hop culture. These interests highlight his dedication to innovative teaching, ensuring fair educational opportunities, and honoring cultural heritage.
