Darrell Jackson, Jr.

Darrell “DJ” Jackson, Jr. serves as the chief operating officer (COO) of the Bible Way Church of Atlas Road (BWCAR) and the executive director (ED) of the Midlands Community Development Corporation (MCDC), in Columbia, South Carolina. Darrell has over 15 years of experience in public administration, public relations, media relations, and social program management. He has an extensive background in program development and project management, integrated with detailed expertise in tackling highly complex issues and focusing on process improvements. He is certified in Lean Six Sigma. 

Darrell is the president of Sunrise Communications, one of the oldest African American Public Relations firms in South Carolina, and has worked on national and local political campaigns and committees including Hillary Clinton for President and the Democratic National Convention. 

Darrell is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, Columbia, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communications. He also has a Master's degree in Business Management from Webster University and he is a graduate of George Washington University’s Certified Public Management Program.
