Connie Munn

Connie Munn was confirmed as the Director of the South Carolina Department on Aging on January 22, 2020, after being appointed by Governor Henry McMaster.

Munn has a background in social work and holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master's degree specializing in geriatrics, which gives her extensive experience for her role.

Prior to becoming Director, she led the Health and Human Services Department and the Area Agency on Aging for the Santee-Lynches Regional Council of Governments for nearly 20 years. Throughout her career, her primary focus has been on providing services for older adults.

Munn has held important positions in regional and community organizations, including serving as Vice Chair for the Southeastern Association of Area Agencies on Aging and participating on boards such as Habitat for Humanity.
