Carla Whitlock

As Director of Member Relations and Engagement, Carla works to ensure that SCbio members are connected to the state’s ecosystem and the initiatives set forth by the organization.  Her primary responsibilities include the recruitment of new members to SCbio and the direction of a robust existing industry program. Prior to SCbio, Carla served as Senior Apprenticeship Consultant with Apprenticeship Carolina™, a division of the South Carolina Technical College System.  In addition to leadership in the state’s workforce development efforts, her professional experience includes tax credits and incentives consulting, marketing, and public accounting with one of the country’s largest regional CPA firms.

A native of Liberty, South Carolina, Carla has lived in Easley for nearly 25 years. In addition to the ETV Community Advisory Council, Carla has served as a volunteer with the American Heart Association Heart Walk and attends Easley First Baptist Church.
