May 30, 2018 - Celebrating Teachers: We'll introduce you to the SC Teacher of the Year finalists, as well as other teachers from around the state who are doing creative and innovative things in the classroom.
February 26, 2018 - Recruiting and Supporting Teachers in South Carolina: Over the last two decades, some of our schools have struggled with recruiting, retaining, and supporting teachers. Throughout this program, we will hear from from superintendents, deans of education, teachers, and students who will share their perspectives about best practices for supporting and enhancing teacher satisfaction in South Carolina.
November 22, 2017 - Digital Literacy: A discussion on how digital and media literacy skills are being taught in South Carolina schools.
October 27, 2017 - Making College Affordable: This edition of ETV’s education series Carolina Classrooms will provide information that is timely for students seeking financial assistance for the 2018-19 school year.
May 31, 2017 - Celebrating Teachers: This program visits the 2017-18 SC Teacher of the Year finalists! We talk to them about their important work as we celebrate all teachers in our state and their achievements.
April 26, 2017 - Summer STEAM: This program will look at how families and communities can keep students learning over the summer and avoid the “summer slide.” Will also have a segment on the Total Solar Eclipse in August.
March 29, 2017 - Teacher Training and Recertification: This program will address the skills our teachers need to teach 21st century graduates and we’ll also look at changes to teacher evaluation and support.
February 22, 2017 - College/Career Readiness: This program will look at the profile of the South Carolina graduate. What skills do 21st century graduates need?
January 25, 2017 - Making College Affordable: This special LIVE edition of ETV’s education series Carolina Classrooms will provide information that is timely for students seeking financial assistance for the 2017-18 school year, plus give the opportunity to get their questions answered. Before and during the LIVE program, students and parents may email questions to CarolinaClassrooms@scetv.org.
November 23, 2016 - Technology: In this program, we’ll talk about the way technology is being used in the classrooms, taking a look at how has it has changed and how does it help. In addition, we’ll discuss cost issues associates with technology in our schools.
October 26, 2016, Education options for SC Students: A discussion with Superintendent of Education Molly Spearman will look at how and where South Carolina students are learning - virtual schools, magnet schools, etc. Other guests include educators working with virtual and magnet schools as well as home schools.
September 28, 2016 - Bullying and Suicide Prevention: This program will focus on bullying and suicide prevention as we look at how social issues affect student health and the learning process. In addition, we’ll talk about what resources are available to help. Guests include Alex Karydi, Ph.D., Program Director, SC Youth Suicide Prevention Initiative, and Jan Urbanski, Ed.D., Director of Safe and Humane Schools, Institute on Family and Neighborhood Life at Clemson University. Also, ETV cameras visit Beaufort High School to talk with LaRaine Fess, Director of their play, and several students involved about their anti-bully play “See Something, Say Something.”

February 24, 2016 - Assessment in K-12 Schools: The topic of assessment in schools can often be confusing. Learn about changes in assessment for SC public school students as well as the results of a survey that looks at exactly how much testing is happening in schools today. This program provides interesting data and insight from education leaders, including Melanie Barton, Executive Director, SC Education Oversight Committee; Dr. Sheila Quinn, Deputy Superintendent, Division of Innovation & Effectiveness, South Carolina Department of Education; and Dr. Sean Alford, Superintendent, Aiken County School District. March 30, 2016 - Summer Camps: Learn about unique summer camp programs offered for South Carolina students! We'll visit camps at Converse College, Ripley's Aquarium in Myrtle Beach, and the SC State Museum in Columbia. These summer camp opportunities engage students, making learning interesting and fun!
