Important information for Charleston viewers!

As part of ETV's digital transition which took place this week, digital station WITV-DT in Charleston has changed its operational channel. If you previously were receiving WITV-DT's digital signal and are not now, first do the "re-scan" process on your receiver or digital converter box. Hopefully, you will have regained reception. If not, you may have an antenna issue.

WITV-DT previously operated on UHF channel 49 but now operates on VHF channel 7. This requires an antenna that has good performance on VHF. An outdoor antenn is recommended, but an indoor antenna with extendable "rabbit ears" may work if you are near Charleston. Be sure that the "rabbit ear" elements are fully extended. For best results, orient the antenna so that the "rabbit ears" are broadside to the town of Awendaw, about 20 miles north of Charleston where the transmitter is located.
