The Bluegrass Sound
started in July 1983 on ETV Radio. The series features a mix of both traditional and contemporary bluegrass music, some occasional old time mountain music, interviews with well-known bluegrass performers, and on-site, live recorded bluegrass concerts.

The show's creator, Clarence Dreher, has been Producer since the first show. Hosts over the years have included Patti Just and Dr. Gary Stanton. Dr. Larry Klein has been Associate Producer and host of The Bluegrass Sound since 1989.

2)The Southeastern Bluegrass Association has monthly shows at Lynches River County Park on the first Saturday of each month. Lynches River County Park is located about 10 miles south of Florence right off of Highway 52.
