SCETV and South Carolina Public Radio Coverage of the 2017 Total Solar Eclipse

South Carolina ETV and South Carolina Public Radio will provide Solar Eclipse Coverage from Columbia, S.C. Columbia third largest city in the U.S. on the centerline of the path of totality . NASA estimates that the state could see one million visitors for a once-in-a-lifetime view of the eclipse. The August 21, 2017 eclipse is the first U.S. contiguous, coast-to-coast, total solar eclipse in nearly 100 years.

Charleston Harbor Receives Fund for Deepening

The Charleston Harbor Deepening Project has received $17.5 million in construction funding as part of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers 2017 Fiscal Year Work Plan. An additional $16.1 million is dedicated to the project for operations and maintenance, which includes dredging of the harbor.

Williamsburg County uses telehealth in all of its schools.
