Joseph Byrne
Joe Byrne is a gifted painter, illustrator, and observer who captures the natural and man-made in great detail. “As far back as I can remember, I was drawing,” Byrne said. “I am basically self-taught.” He creates and interprets using a vast array of styles and media. Preliminaries or studies whether sketched, photographed or painted, are a favorite part of Byrne’s creative process. He researches, interprets, and lives with appreciation for “high realism,” design, and change in the landscape of the South Carolina Low Country as well as more mechanistic industrial subjects.
