Upstate Jobs
Eighty-five percent of Spartanburg's job growth is in the manufacturing field, and there are many manufacturing jobs available in the area; however, the unemployment rate is high. The problem is that the upstate workforce lacks the education and training to qualify for these jobs. We talk with several groups in the upstate about how they have come together to work on a solution to these workforce challenges.
