Literacy 2030
Literacy continues to be a growing problem in South Carolina, and the Central Carolina Community Foundation recently formed a program called Literacy 2030 to try and combat the problem. The program is a group of community leaders that have united to tackle the goal of reaching 100% literacy in the Midlands by 2030. We talk with some of these stakeholders and discuss how strengthening literacy in our state will not only grow our economy, but will make a better South Carolina. View the full program (aired August 9, 2012).
The Big Picture airs Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. Tune in next week for "South Carolina's Role in the Republican National Convention."
