This year will mark the 8th Annual Concert of Hope and Remembrance. This community choir is set to perform Sat. October 24, 2009 at Concord Baptist Church in Anderson, SC at 7PM. The concert benefits the Cancer Association of Anderson.
Along the coast, Hugo destroyed many houses and the storm surge piled boats on top of each other. Mayor Joe Riley of Charleston remembers the night the storm hit while staying the night at City Hall.
Adam Parness, former police officer, remembers the night that Hurricane Hugo hit like it was yesterday. He rode out the storm that night and in the early morning headed to Garden City, one of the counties hardest hit areas.
Extensive relief aid was provided throughout South Carolina by the Red Cross. Louise Welch from the Red Cross takes a look back at how the Red Cross was there to help the people of South Carolina in need after the storm.
20 Years ago Hurricane Hugo slammed into South Carolina’s coast. With US damage totaling cost to $7 billion dollars, Governor Carroll Campbell faced one of his biggest challenges while in office.
The PBS Kids' show Arthur held a contest, asking kids nationwide to create a new friend for the show. Out of 8,500 entries, Emily was selected as one of the finalists. She based her character on her twin brother and his service dog.

Blue Ridge Fest 2009- Pickens, SC
The 2009 Blue Ridge Fest kicked off May 15-16 with a Beach Night Cruise-In. Since 1998 this festival has delighted and entertained people from all over the state. One of the main objectives of the festival is to raise money for a number of charities.
Cocky's Reading Express
Cocky's Reading Express is a collaboration of the University of South Carolina Student Government and the University's School of Library and Information Science. USC students travel the state with Cocky visiting elementary schools across South Carolina. The program helps the children understand the importance of life-long reading. Come See Me Festival - BBQ Cook-off and Catawba River Rod Run
Rock Hill's Come See Me BBQ Cook-off is the 2nd annual barbeque competition that matches the talents of barbeque chefs from around the Southeast. The Catawba River Rod Run is an open car and truck show.
Come See Me Festival - Car Show and Frog Float
During its heyday in the early 1900s, Anderson Motor Company had dealerships all over the world. This festival commemoration celebrates the 125th anniversary of Rock Hill's world famous buggy company.
Rock Hill's Frog Float is a fundraiser where hundreds of rubber frogs will race to the finish line around the Lake at Manchester Meadows.
Come See Me Festival- Rock Climbing and Golf Tournament
Rock Hill's Come See Me Festival held its 9th Annual Youth Indoor Climbing Competition. The Four-man Captain's Choice Tournament was a fundraiser to help the Children's Attention Home and Charter School.
Bee Story
