Hollings Library Dedication

On July 23rd during a special ceremony at the University of South Carolina, The Ernest F. Hollings Special Collections Library was dedicated.  The Big Picture was there as dignitaries from across the state and country paid tribute to this lifelong public servant.

Promos for the Hollings interview refer to his "Titanic" career. He certainly didn't sink on his maiden voyage! SC citizens received "gigantic" returns for his service, he made "huge" contributions to national politics, had 'immense' influence shaping legislation, and showed "enormous" compassion. Maybe he could be the model for a "colossal" statue in Charleston harbor!
