Monday - October 15, 2012
The third in our series of three podcasts profiling the finalists for the Dick and Tunky Riley WhatWorksSC Award for Excellence in Education is featured this week. The Teacher Cadet Program, of the Center for Educator Recruitment, Retention and Advancement, located at Winthrop University, has trained several thousand of South Carolina's high school students and has directed them in to the teaching field. The program has been replicated in over 30 states across the country and can be a cost-saver as many cadets receive Teaching Fellows Scholarships. Learn about this exemplary program on this week's Speaking of Schools!
