W. Hodding Carter address at Furman University

Recently the Richard W. Riley Institute of Government, Politics and Public Leadership at Furman University welcomed W. Hodding Carter, Fellow in Residence, Professor of Public Policy and Leadership at UNC-Chapel Hill and former Assistant Secretary of State. Mr Carter's address to those in attendance is featured on this week's podcast. It's entitled "Democracy Challenged: How Big Money in Politics Influences Who Runs for Office, Who Wins and What They Do Once Elected." This lecture is part of a broad array of programs, symposia, and conferences designed to promote discussion and analysis of the dynamics of important public policy issues ranging from social security to national security policy sponsored by the Riley Institute.
