Virtual School Program Winter Term Registration and Feeding South Carolina’s Students
Monday - November 14, 2011
What's for breakfast? What's for lunch? Whatever it is will be nutritional, perhaps locally grown and designed to reduce the numbers of overweight and obese students. Our conversation with the Director of School Food Services in the State Department of Education reveals how this is taking place and looks back on how the state has achieved national recognition for providing healthy breakfasts and lunches. On the same podcast, we'll look at the success of the South Carolina Virtual School Program by reflecting on its growth through the fall term and we'll also provide useful information as to how students might "re-up" for the winter term or how first-timers can get involved in this highly successful program. Join us for this week's Speaking of Schools!
