This program begins with a look at a virtual charter school in the Columbia area and a conversation with its Principal, Dr. Don Brown. The South Carolina Connections Academy has experienced one year of operation and is looking at considerable enrollment growth for next year. Also, Dr Chuck White, the Interim Head of the Spartanburg Charter School, which will be opening in August and will be serving students from throughout the seven districts in Spartanburg County, talks about the school’s unique characteristics, among them the single-gender structure in grades k – 5.
