Two Public School Choice options available in South Carolina
Monday - April 26, 2010
On this week's podcast, we're joined by a couple of the South Carolina Department of Education's Education Associates to learn more about the programs they coordinate within the Agency. The Early College/Middle College program offers students a non-traditional, innovative high school structure, the opportunity to earn college credits toward an associates or bachelor's degree, small classroom and school environments and the many benefits offered by the collegiate environment. Single Gender programs were among the first Choice options made available to S.C. schools in Dr. Rex's administration and currently, there are about 200 elementary, middle, and high schools within the state that, in various ways, teach boys and girls the same high standards within different classrooms. Hear what's happening with these two popular options on this week's podcast.
