Tori Beth Black, a South Carolina Champion; SC Economics News

Tori Beth Black, a home-schooled high school junior from Iva, was recognized as the 73rd Americal Legion Oratorical Champion in April. Fifty-two other students from across the country competed in Indianapolis, Indiana, for the same goal - the National Oratorical championship title and an $18,000 college scholarship. She wrote and presented an oration titled "A Rising Sun" that set her apart from the other contestants, and on this week's podcast we'll talk with her and let her tell us what drives her desire to develop a deeper knowledge and appreciation for the U.S. Constitution and we'll also feature her award-winning presentation at the competition. Also, the South Carolina Council on Economic Education has had a name change - it's now SC Economics. Helen Meyers, President, joins us and discusses some of the upcoming activities of the organization.
