This week on the podcast we'll hear from National Education Association Vice President Lily Eskelsen who reacts to President Obama's address to students on September 8. She'll also highlight key ways the NEA says are important for parents to help insure a successful school year from their children. Parent involvement will also be the topic of the conversation with Jay Smink, the Director of the National Dropout Prevention Center at Clemson. Featured also is the DISCUS program, South Carolina's virtual library available through the SC State Library that is available 24/7 for SC residents. Amy Duernberger acquaints listeners with some of the newer resources and gives directions for online access.
