This School’s Got Talent Winner and the Wofford Language Academy

Hannah Peeples, a 16-year-old sophomore at Wade Hampton High School and the Fine Arts Center of Greenville has won the statewide BB&T "This School's Got Talent" competition. She won the most votes online among 11 finalists in the contest organized by South Carolina Future Minds, the non-profit that organizes private support for public schools. Our conversation with Hannah and a performance of her contest-winning submission "I Hope You Dance" will be featured on this week's podcast. We'll also be chatting with Belinda Walters, Director of the summer Language Academy at Wofford, a residential language immersion program for rising 8th-grade through 12th-grade students. The Academy will offer two- or four-week language immersion programs in French, German and Spanish, and a four-week program in Chinese. Join us for another informative Speaking of Schools podcast!
