The National Education Association and Sylvan Learning have joined hands in a survey about parent and teacher expectations regarding how much work is required at home versus what should be required as school work. Dr. Richard Bavaria of Sylvan Learning is our guest for this segment. Dr Jim Rex recently appeared before the House Ways and Means K – 12 Subcommittee to begin discussion of the education budget for the next fiscal year and this podcast contains a summary of his recommendations. We’re also joined by Juliana Harwell of the State Department of Education for interesting background information into South Carolina’s Early College/Middle College options in the area of school choice.
