The South Carolina Governors School for the Arts and Humanities
Monday - February 20, 2012
On this week's podcast we're joined by Dr. Bruce Halverson, the President of the Governors School for the Arts and Humanities, who vividly describes the many opportunities that artistically gifted South Carolina students have in the areas of music, art, drama, creative writing and dance at the Greenville school. Of course, there's the residential high school for 11th and 12th graders, (the graduating class in 2011 recei3ved more than $20 million in scholarship offers) and summer programs of varying lengths are available to middle and high-schoolers. The school is a public high school; qualifying students pay no tuition, and scholarship assistance is available through the School's Education Foundation. Another informative Speaking of Schools podcast!
