Ten Tips for Raising Readers - A Palmetto Project Initiative

The Raising Readers Project provides encouragement and skills to adults who want to succeed in engaging children in reading. At the heart of the Project, which offers "hands on" training to faculty and parent groups across the state, is the book Ten Tips for Raising Readers. Fran Hawk, a retired Charleston County school librarian spearheads the effort and this podcast introduces the services provided by the Project and also allows Fran to expand briefly on each of the ten tips chronicled in the book.
