Spotlighting Students: Poetry Out Loud and Letters About Literature Winners
Monday - May 28, 2012
This week on the podcast, we'll feature two students and their award-winning presentations, along with information about the programs in which they won their awards. First-place winners in the "Poetry Out Loud" and "Letters About Literature" competitions, sponsored respectively in the state by the Arts Commission and the State Library, are national contests, which attract students in our schools each year. You'll also hear from the "Poetry Out Loud" winner's teacher and a State Library official, who will supply more information about both programs and the opportunities they present for students. These winning students are excited about their awards, and you'll enjoy their presentations on this week's Speaking of Schools.
