South Carolina and the Teacher Advancement Program (TAP)

Several South Carolina Schools, most recently Clinton Elementary, have been recognized for their involvement in the Teacher Advancement Program (TAP). A number of districts in the state are involved with the program and recently Clinton Elementary and the South Carolina Department of Education were recognized by the National Institute for Excellence in Teaching for their efforts in promoting the initiative, a school reform program that aims to attract, retain, develop and motivate talented people for the teaching profession.
