Monday - April 01, 2013
Recently South Carolina School Improvement Council (SC-SIC) held its annual meeting in Columbia and a part of the program was devoted to announcing the Riley Award winner, named for former S.C. Governor and U.S. Secretary of Education Dick Riley and his late wife Tunky, which was given to the School Improvement Council at a school selected from a field of five finalists. Our conversation with a SC-SIC staff member reveals this years winner and gives a few of the reasons as to why they were chosen. We'll also acquaint you with the StarTalk at Wofford program, a summer session for select high school students which involves immersing the students in Chinese language and culture. We hope you'll join us for this informative podcast!
