Selections by the All State Bands and Choruses

Over the past several years, the programs around Independence Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day have featured selections from the spring concerts of the All State Bands and Choruses and this year is no exception. The outstanding young musicians making up these bands and choirs auditioned at local and regional levels and again at the state level in order to be included in their respective groups. The band members practiced and performed at McAlister Auditorium on the Furman campus and chorus participants did the same at Winthrop; both events were held in March 2009 and sponsored by the South Carolina Music Educators Association. This week's podcast features selections by both the Women's and Mixed Choruses and a four-movement selection by the Clinic Band.
