Preventing Child Sexual Abuse

Darkness to Light, a Charleston-based program was created to diminish the incidence and impact of child sexual abuse, so that more children will grow up healthy and whole. Darkness to Light programs raise awareness of the prevalence and consequences of child sexual abuse by educating adults about the steps they can take to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to the reality of child sexual abuse. Our podcast features conversations with a Darkness to Light official along with representatives from the South Carolina State Board and State Department of Education who discuss the program’s implementation in our state’s school system.
