Personalized Learning Experience - Greenville Tech Charter High’s Senior Project
Monday - June 13, 2011
Since 1998, Greenville Technical Charter High School (GTCHS) has provided a public school alternative to Greenville County students. GTCHS focuses on success in education through academic rigor, technology and career planning and offers GTCHS students the opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school. Many reasons exist for the successes of the school and its graduates, one of them might be the unique Senior Project, a senior-year requirement which carries a unit of credit and is the student's final exam grade in the core classes of English, Math, Science and Social Studies. Also on the podcast, a preview of the August 1, 2011, South Carolina Summit on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathmatics) Education in Greenville, which will bring together passionate STEM supporters within education, business, professional associations and government.
