Palmetto Fellows, Science P.L.U.S. and the DHEC All-Health Team Awards

On this week's podcast we'll have three conversations of interest affecting students, parents and teachers! The deadline for the Early Award applicants for the Palmetto Fellows Scholarship is rapidly approaching and our conversation with the Scholarship's Program Director with the of the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education informs listeners of the Scholarship's benefits and requirements to meet the upcoming December 15 deadline. Applications for the popular Science P.L.U.S. summer programs for teachers in grades 3 - 8 are being received and we'll get an update on this summer's programs at the Roper Mountain Science Center coming in June and July. Also, the podcast features information about the DEHEC All-Health Team, which encourages and promotes youth actions, research and advocacy of health practices and issues. The All-Health Team is a statewide awards program for youth, teachers and adult leaders to recognize and promote their efforts related to preventive health.
